World Sight Day 2019 - World Sight Day 2019

Every year, World Sight Day falls on one day, but vision is so important that one day of awareness just isn’t enough. One month isn’t enough. It should be every day.

Every day, we should be reminded of how important vision is in our lives and the lives of everyone’s around the world – no matter where they live The way it allows us to care for ourselves and our families, how it gives us the ability to learn and be educated, and how it helps us work, do what we love and experience the world. Many adults and children in developing countries are unable to have these same experiences because they don’t have access the kind of eye care we’re so lucky to have in Canada.

But there is a solution. This is a problem we can solve!

This Giving Tuesday, we want to continue to build the momentum of World Sight Day, turning every day into World Sight Day. Consider making a donation to support our sight-saving work around the world and give others the opportunity to experience life with clear vision.

Thank you!

This year, we want to emphasize the significance of eye health through our partners, supporters and donors, like you! We all have our own experiences with vision, whether it’s our own or through our friends and family – and we want to hear your stories. Using #WhyICare and tagging @OrbisCA (Facebook & Twitter) @OrbisCanada (Instagram), tell us why you care about eye care and help us spread the word about avoidable blindness.
