World Sight Day 2019 - World Sight Day 2019

There are an estimated 253 million people in the world who are blind or visually impaired. Shockingly, 75% suffer from conditions that are treatable or preventable. The problem? Nearly 90% of these people live in low- or middle-income countries where access to skilled eye doctors, quality hospitals, adequate resources, or even basic medical care is extremely limited or non-existent.

But there is a solution. This is a problem we can solve!

Join us this October as we celebrate World Sight Day, an annual international day of advocacy and awareness-building to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.

From October 1st – 14th, make a donation to support of sight-saving work around the world. For just $20, you could save the sight of a child and change their life forever. Help us spread the word and let us know why you care about eye care, using #WhyICare and tagging us at @OrbisCA (Facebook & Twitter) @OrbisCanada (Instagram).
