Support VF (Volunteer Faculty): Dr. Wai-Ching Lam

Dr. Lam is a vitreo-retinal surgeon whose practice consists of mainly adult and pediatric retinal disorders. He and another vitreo-retinal surgeon provide surgical treatment for retinopathy of pre-maturity and other complex surgical retinal disorders in children. He has been on staff at Toronto Western Hospital and The Hospital for Sick Children. He was the Residency Program Director, and the Director of Continuing Medical Education for the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences, at the University of Toronto. He has been very active in both Resident and Undergraduate Education. He has won numerous teaching awards including the PAIRO teaching award and the Jack Crawford award for Excellency in Resident Teaching.

As an Orbis VF he has travelled to China, India and Nigeria, participating in both Hospital-Based Programs and on the Flying Eye Hospital.

We've accomplished great things together – but there's still more to do.
