5 Trips. 5 Countries. Countless Lives Impacted.

"Volunteering for Orbis has been a true privilege; I have enjoyed every second of my experience."

Support VF (Volunteer Faculty): Donna Punch

I took my first ORBIS trip in the summer of 2009, since then I have had the privilege of volunteering in several countries around the globe, Nigeria, El Salvador, Philippines, Panama City, Lao. All were amazing experiences, working side by side with Nurses from all cultures, sharing knowledge and being a part of team that works to make it possible for these countries to care for and restore vision.

My favourite time was when I was able to volunteer in the local hospitals. This gave me a chance to see the true environment nurses were working in and would be after we left. This made it possible to teach them to use resources they had to improve their delivery of care which in turn ensured better vision outcomes for their patients.

We've accomplished great things together – but there's still more to do.

You can help by making a donation to support our work – and you can spread the word and build awareness on social media!

Remember – It only takes $50 to save the sight of an adult and $100 to restore the sight of a child!
